Custom Leather Motorcycle Race Suits & Jackets for Achieving the Perfect Fit
When you're on the race track, there's absolutely no room for error. One of the most successful ways to ensure that your gear works seamlessly with your body's mechanics is to upgrade to custom leather motorcycle racing suits. With a properly fitted racing suit, there will be no excess bulkiness or pulling, allowing you to concentrate solely on the road in front of you.
Ergonomics Helps Increase Protection
Providing a better level of comfort for riders has a significant impact on both performance and enjoyment while riding, as well as enhancing the level of “active” safety for the rider. A rider wearing a suit specifically tailored for them achieves greater levels of concentration and flexibility, allowing them to concentrate 100% on their movement (methods by which they control the motorcycle) while performing intense riding maneuvers. Additionally, custom-fitted armor will remain positioned precisely above the rider's joints, rather than shifting or becoming misaligned when striking the ground during a fall due to a crash.
A Race Suit Made Specifically to Fit You
Customizing a racing suit means that custom motorcycle apparel will be designed for your specific measurements. This type of personalization will provide maximum comfort and passive safety by allowing a full range of movement for the wearer. In contrast, the protective components of off-the-rack (ready-to-wear) clothing are not going to line up with your shoulders, elbows, and knees. To get an idea of the baseline safety standards for motorcycle (motorbike) personal protective equipment, look at the European regulations for motorcycle PPE to see how impact zones are defined.
How Our Custom Measuring Process Works
Getting measured for new gear can be a complicated process. Our remote custom measuring process is comprehensive, fully digital, and captures your exact body mechanics right from home.
Step 1: Choosing Gear
Your journey begins with selecting a base design from our extensive line of base designs that’s available online. You can search our current digital catalog and choose the design, perforation, and armor configuration that best fits your normal riding environment.
- A tailored suit increases active safety by keeping armor in place.
- The creation of your tailored suit begins with you choosing your desired base suit/jacket.
Step 2: Online Interview and Riding Style Consultation
Before any measuring begins, we have you fill out our digital riding survey. We ask questions regarding your riding style and the types of back protectors/chest armor you prefer to wear underneath the apparel. Finally, we ask about any previous injuries you’ve had so that when we cut the apparel, it has the necessary allowance to fit properly.
Step 3: Accurate Measurements and Imaging
Following our easy to use digital measurement guide, you will provide complete measurement of your body. First, you will provide measurements of your upper arms, torso, and inside of your leg (inseam). After you input the measurements, you’ll upload pictures of youself in a pose so the our online design team can visualize how you will be using the product.
Coverage Highlights & Practical Benefit
Standard sizing charts utilize a universal ratio of chest width and arm length to waist size, which does not match most riders' builds. By using several measurements taken in a posture image, a custom-tailored suit also removes the "breaking-in" fatigue. There is no longer a period of time when your new leather will be stiff or restrictive, so you will be able to use your full range of motion right away. This dramatically decreases your arm pump and helps you preserve your energy on long days at the track, giving you an immediate use advantage over factory sizing.
What Happens When You Make Your Purchase?
Once you have placed an order and put down your online deposit, we collect your submitted measurements and send that information to our production team. They will review your specifications and the exact cut of the fabric to make sure we have the best possible fit before cutting any leather material for your custom leather suit.
Once all cuts have been confirmed, leather goes to the sewing area to be stitched. Since absolute precision takes time to achieve, we carefully manage the production timeline to ensure your suit is completed to the highest quality possible. Finally, when you have your custom suit, it will feel like a second skin and fit you perfectly.
